Is Your Energy Management Program Under the Dome?

Barry Kroeker - September 23, 2013

One of this season’s most popular TV shows was a science fiction series called Under the Dome.

(If you missed it, you can watch the preview here.)

Loosely based on the novel by Stephen King, the show explores the dynamics of human relationships when the small town of Chester’s Mill is isolated from the outside world by a strange invisible barrier. The dramatic possibilities posed by this scenario range from the terrifying (murder, mystery and mayhem are all there) to the grimly comedic (nearly everyone knows about the cow that was cut, er, caught between both sides).

Is your energy management program Under the Dome?

Is it difficult or impossible to get energy information in or out? Do you have trouble with data sharing, duplication, multiple sources, redundancy, and inefficiency in your organization’s utility bill-based business processes?

If so, you're not alone! But there is a software solution.

When it comes to energy information, sharing is an EnergyCAP specialty. For example, about half of our clients use a custom accounting interface that we design during implementation. A data reformatter enables the energy management team to communicate all required utility invoice data to the accounting department in exactly the right formats to enable proper accounting, internal invoicing, tracking, processing, and/or payment.

All the financial details, right down to the GL codes, can be imported into your organization’s accounts payable software of choice. And that’s just the beginning.

EnergyCAP can help you out from Under the Dome.
