For the fifth year in a row, industry-leading EnergyCAP energy management software has been honored by Inc. magazine as a fastest-growing private company. The annual Inc. 5000 highlights private companies with the highest growth rate in the United States.

According to Inc. magazine, “EnergyCAP, Inc. joins Yelp, Chobani,, KIND, and famed hatmaker Tilly’s, among other prominent brands featured on this year’s list. In a stagnant economic environment, median growth rate of 2012 Inc. 5000 companies remains an impressive 97 percent. The companies on this year’s list report having created over 400,000 jobs in the past three years, and aggregate revenue among the honorees reached $299 billion.”

EnergyCAP joins a narrow field of companies who have achieved this honor five times in a row. Earlier this year, EnergyCAP also received its second consecutive ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year Award.

More than 1,500 organizations from government, higher education, and business use EnergyCAP utility bill management software to receive ENERGY STAR building ratings, identify billing errors, benchmark buildings to spot inefficiencies, motivate occupants to conserve, run reports to present data, track greenhouse gas emissions, verify energy management performance, and perform campus chargeback billing.

Users include the State of Colorado; Orange County (CA); Washington, DC; the entire State University of New York system; University of Kansas; George Mason; BJ’s Wholesale Clubs; Forest City Enterprises; and Equity Residential.

EnergyCAP comes in two versions to meet various energy management needs. EnergyCAP Enterprise is used by Fortune 500 businesses, universities, and state and municipal governments with complex energy management needs. EnergyCAP Express is a web-based version that enables towns, colleges, and small businesses to track their utility bills online; a free 30-day trial is immediately available.
